WMD xFlow Interface is certified by SAP AG - The new version 4.0 of WMD’s xFlow system interface for process integration in SAP NetWeaver reveals its new lookJanuary 2010 - The approval statement "SAP Certified Integration powered by SAP NetWeaver" denotes SAP AG’s confirmation that WMD’s xFlow Interface has met and complies with SAP’s certification guidelines for ABAP add-ons. The internationally recognised SAP certificate therefore objectively and unambiguously documents the compatibility of WMD’s xFlow Interface solution. Compliance with SAP certification guidelines for SAP ArchiveLink as well as components for materials management and financial accounting in SAP ERP is a guarantee for companies worldwide that the xFlow Interface solution can be integrated quickly and easily in its SAP environment. WMD xFlow Interface is already used by more than 200 companies throughout Europe and now version 4.0 offers extensive new features. The software was originally designed to be tailored to specific applications, and this concept has been rigorously pursued in further developments, with dialogue processing, in particular, being optimised. In the past, the primary task of xFlow Interface was to transfer data and images from various sources to the SAP ERP system. The new version now offers significantly greater integration and application facilities for SAP ERP. It is now possible, for example, to map "early" and "late" storage via SAP ArchiveLink, thereby linking a range of file formats to any SAP business object.
Furthermore, xFlow Interface offers new functions for processing incoming invoices. Version 4.0 allows the header and item data of invoices, together with images, to be transferred to the SAP system. xFlow Interface carries out the direct validation of transferred data and values as well as a completeness check. The status of all invoices can be viewed and edited any time via the xFlow Interface Monitor. When processing logistic invoices, xFlow Interface also compares the invoice data with the purchase order and goods receipt at item level. This allows any variance to be rapidly identified and rectified.
A duplicate check ensures that vendor invoices are only processed once. The criteria for identifying duplicates can easily be adapted in the company’s own name range (this does not alter the SAP system standard) and on a company-code-specific basis using the customising facility. Invoices can be parked and posted either automatically or manually. Workflow-based downstream processes can also be initiated. This includes, for example, the initiation of external workflows or ones that are based on SAP Business Workflow. These processes may be the customer’s own solutions or standardised products, such as xFlow Invoice (also developed by WMD) for the processing of incoming invoices.
At the same time xFlow Interface, by incorporating UserExits, allows customer-specific requirements to be mapped quickly and easily. xFlow Interface is supplied in German, English, French, Danish and Dutch. In addition the text system can be used to add or modify any desired language or in-house terminology. In line with our product philosophy, xFlow Interface is focused entirely on SAP standards. SAP has now confirmed compliance with these standards with its certification of the product as "SAP Certified Integration powered by SAP NetWeaver".
Matthias Lemenkühler, Technical Manager at WMD, commented: "The new version of our xFlow Interface represents a fully standardised product for SAP ERP. It is a product that liberates users from having to design and configure individual solutions within the SAP system. Plug & Play, as well as individual modifications that are quick and straightforward to implement, are key features of the new WMD xFlow Interface."
